Job Description:ServiceNow Functional Consultants/Certified Implementation Specialists - SAM from Total Systems Solutions Consulting Inc. is seeking 3 ServiceNow Senior Functional Consultants/Certified Implementation Specialists - SAM to work for our public sector client, the Ministry of Citizen Services in the Province of British Columbia. You must be available to work remotely, full-time 40 hours per week with availability Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm Pacific Standard Time. It is expected that consultants will be required to occasionally attend meetings in Victoria, British Columbia for which your expenses will be reimbursed.
The anticipated term of this opportunity is from an available start date of September 16, 2024 for 6 months.
Project ContextThe Service Management Transformation Program (SMTP) is a multi-year transformation of IT service management operations, involving the implementation of the OCIO My Service Centre (My SC), a cloud-based IT service management tool powered by ServiceNow.
Consultant QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Deep expertise in managing software assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Proven experience in implementing and optimizing SAM processes within the ServiceNow platform.
ServiceNow Expertise:
- Extensive experience with ServiceNow SAM module.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, and CMDB modules.
- Experience in configuring and customizing ServiceNow workflows, forms, and integrations to support SAM processes.
SAM Best Practices:
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices for software asset management.
- Ability to design and implement effective asset tracking systems.
Process Optimization:
- Proven track record of optimizing SAM processes.
- Experience in aligning SAM processes with broader IT and business strategies.
Client-Facing Skills:
- Excellent ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong communication skills.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
- Skilled in analyzing hardware asset data.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware asset management within ServiceNow.
Project Management:
- Experience in leading HAM projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
ITIL and IT Service Management Frameworks:
- Familiarity with ITIL and other relevant IT service management frameworks.
Data Management:
- Experience in data modeling and ensuring data integrity within ServiceNow's SAM module.
Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - SAM preferred.
- ITIL Foundation Certification or higher is a plus.
