Your Opportunity

BDO Digital is looking for a Dayforce General Ledger Implementation Consultant to join our People Experience team, with the ability to work from anywhere in Canada. The individual will own the following responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of the GL implementation lifecycle which includes consulting with the client to collect, document and validate functional requirements, solution design, configuration, unit and integration testing, training, and deployment.
  2. Apply functional and technical expertise to effectively execute requirements.
  3. Partner with client project managers and executives throughout the implementation.
  4. Engage with key client stakeholders such as Controllers, Accountants, and Financial Officers to analyze and document their specific GL posting requirements.
  5. Consult and advise clients through the implementation process on best practices that maximize value and return on investment.
  6. Collaborate with the project team, internal partners, external clients, and third parties to ensure a successful delivery.
  7. Provide internal status updates, noting issues/risks with recommended resolution to Green.
  8. Effectively manage multiple projects and clients at the same time with multiple competing priorities and to coach others to work effectively.
  9. Implement Organizational Readiness best practices in preparation for rollout.
  10. Train client staff for them to capably perform day-to-day activities.
  11. Manage multiple client/project engagements simultaneously.
  12. Identify best practices/lessons learned & document/share internally.
  13. Complete new release training as needed & be our expert on Dayforce.

Your Experience And Education

  1. 2+ years of Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation experience (Dayforce experience is preferred however similar solutions such as UKG, ADP, etc. will also be considered).
  2. Practical knowledge of accounting and payroll, production environment and implementation practices.
  3. Deep proficiency with XML/XSLT and experience with Data Conversion tools/processes (ETLV).
  4. High level of proficiency creating HR, Payroll, Benefits 834 or Cobra files using XML/XSLT methodology.
  5. Understanding of common Human Capital Management (HCM) business practices.
  6. Relationship management and consulting acumen – asking the right question to design the right solution.
  7. Ceridian Integration and Ceridian Data Conversion Certification is an asset.
  8. Understanding & developing relational databases & SQL is an asset.
  9. Self-motivated, articulate & able to engage audiences.
