Managing Director

Our client is seeking a Managing Director who will be pivotal in driving operational and commercial success, ensuring all functions work cohesively to maintain and grow market presence. This role calls for a dynamic leader who can build upon the existing foundation and elevate the company to new heights, focusing on sustainable growth, innovation, and profitability. You will work closely with the Board of Directors and lead a high-performing management team that embodies the company’s core values and culture. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the primary driver of the company’s ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and execute the company’s commercial and operational strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term vision and values.
– Drive financial results by emphasizing profitability, resource allocation, and commercial development to leverage market opportunities.
– Identify new areas for growth, optimize processes, and build strong partnerships within the Food or Ingredient industry to continue the company’s development trajectory.
– Oversee all functional areas, including finance, operations, human resources, and commercial, ensuring seamless support for strategic goals.
– Maintain a close working relationship with the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on performance and strategy execution.
– Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, ensuring strong leadership at all levels while promoting teamwork and accountability.
Experience & Qualifications:
– Progressive experience in senior leadership roles, ideally with 10 or more years in the Food or Ingredient industry.
– Commercial experience in the meat or related sectors.
– Exposure to working with shareholders, directors, and upper-level executives.
– Solid financial and operational knowledge across various industries.
– Post-secondary education or equivalent experience; a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred.
– Willingness to travel extensively and work outside regular office hours.
