Position Title: Relief Sales Representative
Location: Saanichton, BC, V8M 1Z7
Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Manager or designate, the Relief Sales Representative will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with various clients while sales representatives are on leave/vacation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Providing Vacation and leave coverage for all Food Service and Retail Sales Representatives in all territories on Vancouver Island.
• Providing sales support for all Sales Representatives in all territories on Vancouver Island.
• Support and assist in creation, promotion and distribution of corporate, weekly, and monthly flyers.
• Weekly collection of account balances from customers (distributing statements, credits, and ensuring all invoices are paid according to terms).
• Attend regular sales meetings either virtually or in person and annual conference.
• Understanding market conditions, product innovations and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
• 1 year progressive sales experience in a similar sized operation; a combination of post-secondary education and experience will also be considered.
• 1 to 3 years of related protein industry experience would be considered an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, colleagues, and staff.
• Ability to work comfortably on computers.
• Self-motivated and able to work in, and outside of an office setting.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
