Job Description:Job Description M&P Farm Equipment Ltd. is a family owned farm equipment dealership dedicated to serving our local community. We are looking for a conscientious person to join our team as an Agricultural Equipment Technician. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Service Manager, the position involves:Repair and maintenance of agricultural, turf, and industrial machinery of various types, including but not limited to: tractors, implements, and self propelled units. This can involve a large variety systems including engine, drivetrain, fuel, emission control and exhaust, HVAC, electrical and electronic.Assemble and test new equipmentMaintain and operate shop tools, such as: hydraulic presses, machining tools, welders, forklifts, etc.Track the use of time and materialsA commitment to workplace safety by maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment Required Qualifications:Previous agricultural equipment repair experience is an asset. Heavy equipment or truck repair experience will be considered. Automotive repair experience with a willingness to learn also considered.A valid driver’s license is requiredAbility to lift heavy components repeatedly (50+ lbs)Effective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness and ability to learn new skills, technologies and procedures. Occasional travel for training may be required.Able to work both in shop and at customer sites in all types of weather Regular working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (42.5 hours per week).
