Job Description


Airswift is working with one of our major clients in the Oil & Gas industry to find a Project Controls Coordinator IV to join their team in Edmonton, AB. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.


Working Conditions:
  1. Occasional OT may be required.
  2. Working Hybrid model (Mon/Tues/Thurs onsite and Wed/Fri working remotely).

Who you are:
  1. A University degree or related construction or operational training and/or experience.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of previous related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Construction experience related to cost and scheduling controls of multi-discipline projects. Oil and Gas industry related experience will be required, as the logic and sequencing of tasks is dependent upon this previous experience. Industrial Construction experience, and interfaces with the Engineering, Procurement, Contracting, Execution, and Commissioning phases of the project are highly desirable.
  4. General understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
  5. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  6. High proficiency with MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
  7. Software experience with: MS Office Suite and Oracle or SAP.
  8. Proficiency in developing and managing Power BI reports and dashboards, including data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) functions, and Power Query. Experience in integrating Power BI with other data sources and ensuring data accuracy and consistency is essential.
  9. Experience in utilizing the Ecosys program for project controls. Proficient in configuring and customizing Ecosys to meet project-specific requirements and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  10. Problem solving, decision-making, organization, planning and leadership skills.
  11. Collaborative, team- and service-oriented work style.

Here’s what you will do:
  1. Record, track and maintain all submissions related to cost, progress and change.
  2. Update and maintain earned value reports for all major scopes of work on a daily basis.
  3. Review and record daily Labor, Equipment, and Material tickets (LEMS) for cost and man hour information.
  4. Review and record daily progress and report on variances from estimates.
  5. Conduct critical analysis of project costs and budget.
  6. Interface with contractors to ensure we are provided with correct rates and estimates for updating reports.
  7. Interface with Inspectors to ensure they are providing accurate documentation for updating reports.
  8. Review and validation of Invoices to ensure that dates and amounts are in agreement with contract terms.
  9. Work in Oracle Cloud and with Accounts Payable group to ensure invoices are coded properly and sent to the appropriate approver.
  10. Compilation of scheduled and ad hoc reporting as required by the project personnel.
  11. Attend and participate in program and contractor update meetings.
  12. Active participant of the program team; works closely with Project Managers, Project Controls Advisors, and Field Control Advisors.
  13. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Safety, Integrity, Respect, and other applicable trainings.
