ROLE

As an Accounting Clerk at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare you will:

• Generate and issue invoices accurately and in accordance with services rendered.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all sales transactions.
• Payment Processing.
• Receive, record and apply customer payments to appropriate accounts.
• Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and take appropriate action.
• Coordination of Coverage.
• Process claims with varying insurance payors such as OHIP, private health insurance, WSIB.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date cash application in the accounting system.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)

• 3-year Community college diploma, preferably in accounting or business.

REQUIRED SKILL(S) & EXPERIENCE(S)

• 2 years recent & related accounting experience in a computerized health care environment.
• Experience in accounts receivable.
• Experience with MIS.
• Experience with Great Plains accounts payable an asset.
