Senior Finance Manager, Corporate DevelopmentLocation: Hybrid - OntarioEmpire life is looking to hire a Senior Finance Manager to join our Corporate Development Finance teamThe Senior Finance Manager is part of the Corporate Development team and will be responsible for supporting Empire’s mergers and acquisitions activities. The incumbent works under the moderate supervision of the Vice-President, Finance - Corporate Development. Play an integral role - this is an opportunity that allows for you to grow your skills, while directly contributing to the business unit you are a part of.What you’ll be working onParticipate in Empire and subsidiaries business acquisitions - including due diligence, preparing discounted cash flow valuations, preparing business combination memos, calculating working capital, documenting assumptions and working with other functional units to determine synergiesLiaise with vendor as requiredPreparing 1st iteration of the purchase price allocation and work with KPMG to finalize the valuation and become the key contact person in dealing with PWC Prepare an annual analysis of Goodwill impairment testIncorporate key metrics for acquisitions ie.
