About the Role The Vice President will join a global team that is responsible for supporting portfolio accounting, operations and reporting functions in Montreal in order to provide services to our global clients. Primary responsibilities include:
Operational Oversight:
  • responsible for supervision of local Data Management staff;
  • ensuring that transactions, prices, corporate actions, security master reference data, reconciliations are loaded and run into relevant systems in a timely and accurate manner;
  • designing and implementing automated processes for data loading, reconciliations, and extracts;
  • globally managing use of systems with the goal of optimal efficiency, providing training to global data management staff as necessary;
  • continued development and monitoring of policies and procedures for ensuring completeness and accuracy of trade loads and market data; and
  • reporting business issues to the SVPs and other Senior Managers.

Project Management:
  • liaison with program and project managers in the development, execution and roll-out of project plans for the continued improvement of operational efficiency and control;
  • working closely with the Information Technology team, developers, systems vendors and other third parties to resolve issues and developing bespoke client solutions;
  • defining project and product/application specifications and coordinating participation of team members in defining those specifications and roll-out of reengineered processes; and

Regulatory Reporting
  • supervising the team through the completion of regulatory reporting mandates on a monthly and quarterly basis;
  • completing the filings and assist the team in the filing process by providing guidance on questions relating to sections of the regulation;
  • managing client communication and relationships;
  • liaising with regulators on data and reporting requirements.

Client Delivery
  • managing client on-boarding process on the Data Management side;
  • overseeing daily operations and client delivery;
  • managing client relationships;
  • gathering client requirement and co-ordinating teams to ensure superior execution of client requirements;
  • delivering support to fund accounting and investor services teams with respect to the processing of trade data, security master data, corporate actions, price data, shareholder transactions and investor data.

Other
ad-hoc projects, including reporting, as required
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
  • the ideal candidate will have a university degree in finance, accounting or computer science;
  • a minimum of 8 years work experience in finance, accounting or financial services;
  • fund accounting or fund administration specific experience is an asset;
  • experience in relationship management and client service;
  • experience working in an Agile environment with software developers is an asset;
  • knowledge of programming languages like C#, SQL is an asset.

Key skills for this role are as follows:
  • working knowledge of Geneva / Investran portfolio accounting / administration systems is an asset.
  • strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • excellent time management, organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • autonomous/self-starter

À propos du poste Le vice-président se joindra à une équipe mondiale responsable du soutien des fonctions de comptabilité de portefeuille, d’exploitation et de production de rapports à Montréal afin de fournir des services à nos clients internationaux. Les principales responsabilités du candidat retenu seront les suivantes : Supervision opérationnelle :
  • superviser le personnel local chargé de la gestion des données;
  • s’assurer que les transactions, les prix, les opérations sur titres, les données de référence des titres et les rapprochements sont téléchargés et exécutés dans les systèmes pertinents en temps utile et avec exactitude;
  • concevoir et mettre en œuvre des processus automatisés pour le téléchargement, le rapprochement et l’extraction des données;
  • gérer globalement l’utilisation des systèmes afin d’optimiser l’efficacité en assurant la formation du personnel chargé de la gestion des données à l’échelle mondiale, selon les besoins;
  • perfectionner et surveiller en permanence les politiques et procédures visant à garantir l’exhaustivité et l’exactitude des téléchargements de transactions et des données sur le marché;
  • signaler tout problème opérationnel aux premiers présidents et à d’autres cadres supérieurs.

Gestion de projet :
  • assurer la liaison avec les gestionnaires de programme et de projet pour l’élaboration, l’exécution et la mise en œuvre de plans de projets visant l’amélioration continue de l’efficacité et du contrôle des opérations;
  • travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe des technologies de l’information, les développeurs, les fournisseurs de systèmes et d’autres tierces parties pour résoudre des problèmes et élaborer des solutions sur mesure pour les clients;
  • définir les spécifications du projet et du produit/de l’application et coordonner la participation des membres de l’équipe à la définition de ces spécifications et au déploiement des processus remaniés;

Rapports réglementaires
  • superviser l’équipe dans l’accomplissement des mandats de production de rapports réglementaires sur une base mensuelle et trimestrielle;
  • achever les déclarations et assister l’équipe dans le cadre du processus de déclaration en fournissant des conseils sur les questions relatives aux articles de la réglementation;
  • gérer la communication et les relations avec les clients;
  • assurer la liaison avec les organismes de réglementation en ce qui concerne les exigences en matière de données et de production de rapports.

Livraison au client
  • gérer le processus d’intégration des clients en ce qui concerne la gestion des données;
  • superviser les opérations quotidiennes et la livraison aux clients;
  • gérer les relations avec les clients;
  • documenter les exigences des clients et coordonner les équipes afin de garantir une exécution supérieure des exigences des clients;
  • fournir une assistance aux équipes chargées de la comptabilité des fonds et des services aux investisseurs en ce qui concerne le traitement des données relatives aux transactions, des données de référence des titres, des opérations sur titres, des données relatives aux prix, ainsi que des données relatives aux transactions des actionnaires et aux investisseurs.
Autres responsabilités prendre en charge des projets ponctuels, y compris la production de rapports, selon les besoins.
Votre contribution
En plus d’une autonomie et de normes en matière d’éthique incontestablement élevées, le candidat idéal possédera les caractéristiques suivantes :
  • le candidat idéal sera titulaire d’un diplôme universitaire en finance, en comptabilité ou en informatique;
  • au moins huit ans d’expérience professionnelle dans le domaine de la finance, de la comptabilité ou des services financiers;
  • une expérience en comptabilité ou en administration de fonds est un atout;
  • de l’expérience en gestion des relations et en service client;
  • une expérience de travail dans un environnement agile avec des développeurs de logiciels est un atout;
  • la connaissance de langages de programmation tels que C# et SQL est un atout.

Les principales compétences pour ce poste sont les suivantes :
  • une connaissance pratique du système Geneva, du système de comptabilité de portefeuille Investran et de systèmes d’administration est un atout;
  • excellente connaissance pratique de Microsoft Excel;
  • excellentes aptitudes en matière de gestion du temps, d’organisation, d’établissement de priorités et de communication;
  • autonomie et sens de l’initiative.
