Description du poste:

TD Securities ('TDS') provides a wide range of capital market products and services to corporate, government, and financial institution ('FI') clients through Global Transaction Banking ('GTB'), Corporate and Investment Banking ('CIB'), and Global Markets ('GM'). The firm works with clients around the world, focusing selectively and strategically on key global financial centers: Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver, New York, London, Singapore, and Tokyo.

GTB is comprised of two principal business verticals: Treasury Solutions (Corporate Cash Management and Correspondent Banking) and Trade Solutions (Trade Finance and Export & Agency Finance).

We are seeking a highly motivated senior level Trade Finance ('TF') coverage banker to join a growing TDS Trade Solutions platform. Reporting to the Managing Director and Head of Trade Solutions for Canada, the candidate will be responsible for providing TF product coverage, structuring advice, working capital and risk mitigation solutions to a portfolio of Canadian domiciled, multinational corporates.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deal Origination & Structuring
    • Responsible for end to end transaction lifecycle, including origination, structuring, and execution of transactions.
    • Support senior origination team by identifying new opportunities to add new clients.
    • Provides deal structuring expertise and prepares term sheets and pitches.
    • Obtain credit concurrence and coordinate pricing approvals.
    • Arrange and engage in client calls and presentations.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management
    • Manage and deepen relationships with existing portfolio of clients.
    • Help clients navigate the organization; engage relevant partners to assist in the resolution of client issues.
  • Deal Execution
    • Support and facilitate deal communication and client touchpoints.
    • Assist with preparation of deal summaries.
    • Facilitate the negotiation of credit related documentation.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Considers risk, internal controls, policies, compliance, and profitability.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Impact
    • Works as a key member of the broader relationship coverage team.
    • Develops a calling and coverage plan in conjunction with the relevant CIB relationship managers.
Job Requirements
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in trade finance, corporate / commercial lending.
  • Strong knowledge and practical expertise across the trade finance suite of products.
  • Experience structuring complex financial transactions.
  • Experience covering and developing relationships with large corporations.
  • Ability to create and deliver professional product ideas and presentations.
  • Undergraduate degree - MBA, CFA, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Results oriented, consistently achieve top performance.
