General Description

The E4 – Engineer is a professional who applies engineering knowledge to provide services for medium complexity projects and/or operations safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.

Work Assignment Overview:

Act as a point of contact for resource planning for all capital projects in Engineering. Work with PMs, DMs, and TLs to develop and monitor work forecasts for Engineering resources.

Responsibilities
  1. Work with Work Package Managers, Division Managers, and Team Leads to assign appropriate work centers and develop work forecasts for each project activity.
  2. Coordinate resource forecasts for interrelated work packages with all corresponding Team Leads.
  3. Monitor resource demands throughout the progression of projects and highlight areas with significant deviation and/or resource constraints.

The goal of this role is to:

  • Reduce disruptions/delays to active projects caused by resource constraints.
  • Identify and communicate any forecasted resource constraints to Directors and Division Managers.
  • Provide a centralized view of projects that might be impacted by resource constraints.
Qualifications

A minimum of eight years of substation engineering experience and a degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Good working experience in leading design teams and in protection, control, and telecom systems.

Professional Engineer registered with EGBC. Solid electric utility engineering background with knowledge of project management principles and roles.

Good working knowledge of design and transmission lines is an asset.
