Job Summary:
The District Manager is responsible to meet or exceed Service goals in the management of a district of routes. Reports to the Service Manager. A DM may manage a service center and if the service center has more than 7 routes, the DM becomes classified as a Senior DM.
- Develop and motivate a district to be a highly productive team through continual training, regular meetings, daily check-in, fostering a positive work environment, route rides, and building strong relationships with each RSR.
- Ensure customer loyalty and outstanding customer service through customer visits, audits, new installs, problem solving, open communication and negotiating with customers.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed in their district, including safety and Service SOP.
- Manage retention and growth by motivating their district to solicit new customers, up-sell/cross-sell/sample all lines of service or product and ensure a profitable product mix. Monitor and report competitive activity. Oversee promotions, contests and continued excellent customer relationships.
- Leading their district to success, communicate changes and policies, oversee route organization, project a professional image and require of their district likewise, and cooperatively work with other departments in the branch.
- Complete general route responsibilities when necessary. Safely operate a delivery vehicle, following all applicable laws and company policy.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other tasks as directed by supervision.
- A Senior DM performs the above functions as well as oversees a service center. This includes securing the facility, managing inventory to ensure sufficient supply for routes, overseeing deposits and paperwork, communicating effectively with the processing plant.
- Work with and support other service personnel as required by supervision.
- Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License, keep a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety or other violations.
- Demonstrate excellent skills in customer service and route sales.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English, comprehend and follow direction and good time management skills and team player.
- Recognize colors, sizes and types of product and count, add and subtract accurately.
- High School graduation or similar experience. Qualified to hold a driver’s license.
- Frequently within the branch area.
- Operating vehicles on public roads, working in and out of customer locations, loading areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, Service Center or depot.
- Indoor and outdoor areas of a typical industrial facility.
Typical Physical Activity:
- Physical Demands/Requirements - sitting, grasping, driving, stooping, moving equipment, kneeling, reaching overhead, lifting up to 75 lbs, standing, walking, writing, speaking, hearing.

Un directeur de district peut gérer un centre de service et si le centre de service compte plus de sept (7) itinéraires, le directeur de district obtient la classification de directeur de district principal.
Fonctions principales :
– Forme et motive une équipe de district pour qu’elle soit très productive grâce à une formation continue, à des réunions régulières, à des rencontres quotidiennes, à un environnement de travail positif, à des itinéraires et à l’établissement de relations solides avec chaque représentant.
– Assure la fidélité des clients et un service à la clientèle exceptionnel grâce aux visites des clients, aux vérifications, aux nouvelles installations, à la résolution de problèmes, à la communication ouverte et à la négociation avec les clients.
– S’assure que toutes les politiques et procédures de l’entreprise sont suivies dans son district, y compris la procédure d’exploitation normalisée en sécurité et service.
– Gère la rétention et la croissance en motivant son équipe à solliciter de nouveaux clients, vendre des articles de qualité supérieure ou effectuer des ventes croisées, offrir des échantillons de toutes les gammes de services ou de produits et assurer la rentabilité de la gamme de produits. Surveille et signale les activités de la concurrence. Supervise les promotions, les concours et les excellentes relations avec les clients.
– Dirige leur district vers la réussite, communique les changements et les politiques, supervise l’organisation des itinéraires, projette une image professionnelle et exige de même de son équipe, et collabore avec les autres services de la succursale.
– Accomplit les tâches générales liées aux itinéraires, au besoin. Conduit un véhicule de livraison de façon sécuritaire, en respectant toutes les lois et les politiques de l’entreprise applicables.
– Suit les instructions écrites et verbales et effectue d’autres tâches selon les directives de la supervision.
– Un directeur de district principal exécute les fonctions ci-dessus et supervise un centre de service. Cela comprend la sécurisation des installations, la gestion des stocks pour assurer un approvisionnement suffisant pour les itinéraires, la supervision des dépôts et de la documentation, la communication efficace avec l’usine de traitement.
Fonctions additionnelles :
– Travaille avec d’autres membres du personnel de la succursale et leur offre du soutien, selon les exigences de la supervision.
Compétences :
– Détient un permis de conduire valide et conserve un dossier de conduite exempt d’accidents, d’excès de vitesse, de sécurité ou d’autres infractions.
– Fait preuve d’excellentes compétences en service à la clientèle et en ventes sur la route.
– Bonnes aptitudes pour la communication orale et écrite en anglais, capacité à comprendre et à suivre les directives, ainsi que de bonnes aptitudes pour la gestion du temps et esprit d’équipe.
– Reconnaît les couleurs, les tailles et les types de produits et compte, additionne et soustrait avec précision.
Éducation :
– Diplôme d’études secondaires ou expérience similaire. Qualifié pour détenir un permis de conduire.
Exigences relatives aux déplacements :
– Fréquemment dans la zone de la succursale.
Conditions environnementales typiques :
– Conduit des véhicules sur les routes publiques, travaille à l’intérieur et l’extérieur des sites des clients, dans les zones de chargement d’une installation de buanderie industrielle typique, dans un centre de service ou un dépôt.
– Aires intérieures et extérieures d’une installation industrielle typique.
Activité physique reliée à l’emploi :
