Abbotsford, Canada Phantom Screens Full time

At Phantom, making life better is our mission; for our customers and our employees. We're driven by our vision and values - it's what sets us apart as a corporation - and what makes Phantom Screens a special place to work. Since our beginning, in 1992, Phantom has excelled, expanded, and stayed laser-focused on our passion: making and installing the highest-quality retractable screens on the market. Now we're the top-selling retractable screen, and our products are international.

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for shaking up the norm? Reporting to the CEO and a key player on our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be the mastermind behind championing Phantom’s brand, igniting customer loyalty, and driving growth across all sales channels within our marketplace. Holding a pivotal role of driving the company’s growth and adapting to the rapidly evolving business landscape, we’re looking for someone with the boldness to challenge the status quo and try new and creative paths while adapting to an ever-evolving market. With oversight of all marketing and product strategies for our outdoor shading and screening divisions, the CMO will lead the charge in making sure Phantom stays top of the market. As a culture leader, you’ll embody our core values, create a positive work environment, and inspire collaboration and communication at all levels.

  • Develop the annual marketing, product capital, and expense budgets; coordinating with other corporate areas to align long-range goals and strategies.
  • Be the champion of our brand, creating buzz and excitement across all key audiences: consumers, partners, industry professionals, and internal teams.
  • Responsible for increasing sales lead generation through the design and implementation of appropriate strategies for each of the organization’s verticals, sales channels, and services.
  • Responsible for brand and company messaging and collateral pieces at all levels, and for new product launches, both internally and externally.
  • Drive innovation and creativity to our corporate marketing, trying new and uncharted paths to achieve our goals.

  • Engage with creative agencies and vendors to take Phantom’s market presence to new heights with online market domination and enhanced consumer reach.
  • Responsible for the marketing inventory, ensuring that it is controlled and maintained in order to service distributor needs.
  • Be well-versed in product innovation initiatives, strategies, and solutions; understand the value proposition of each product and real-world deployment in order to formulate, recommend policies and programs for sales and related activities.

Operational Leadership:

  • As a member of the SLT, the CMO will demonstrate effective leadership, influencing all employees and network partners to aspire to new levels of excellence and executive maturity.
  • Lead the marketing and product teams, providing clear direction, resources, and guidance to hit targets, drive revenue, and align with company strategy.
  • Build and develop a high-performance team, fostering a culture of innovation, growth, and accountability.
  • Promote fiscal responsibility across departments and ensure alignment with the company’s long-term vision.

Relationships & Collaboration:

  • Keep the CEO and Leadership Team updated with trends, customer insights, and competitive intel to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Build long-lasting relationships with industry professionals, attending conferences, events, and key meetings to keep Phantom connected to the market pulse.
  • Collaborate with the CRO to ensure new product launches have the hype they deserve, creating seamless coordination across departments.
  • Maintain open communication with the CRO and other members of the Leadership Team to ensure clarity on Phantom’s brand strategy.
  • Join forces with the CRO in the planning and execution of special corporate and sales events.
  • Work with the Employee Experience Department to determine the key criteria for recruiting personnel in the Marketing & Product Departments.

Operational Excellence:

Analytics:

  • Dive deep into the data—analyze performance, measure KPIs, and ensure all marketing and product initiatives are on track to achieve business goals.
  • Review actual sales results, weighing them against set targets and business KPIs, to determine the effectiveness of marketing & product initiatives and implement necessary changes.
  • Monitor marketing and product budget expenses monthly and report variances to the CEO.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure brand consistency in the marketplace and alignment with corporate customer philosophy.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the industry, always on the lookout for new trends, opportunities, and best practices.
  • Ensure Phantom is keeping up with emerging digital marketing trends.
  • Liaise with Phantom leadership to ensure consistency of Corporate and departmental practices in alignment with Phantom’s Purpose, Vision, and Values.

Position Requirements:
