Responsibilities

  • Manage a team in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings
  • Manage a group of architectural staff, leading project meetings, and coordinating other building disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Manage a team of consultants
  • Client communication
  • Provide technical and administrative oversight to ensure that both the internal and external client needs are met and that the projects are delivered within cost, quality and schedule targets
  • Manage the financial aspect of the project including planning, scheduling, forecasting and staffing and working with accounting to achieve the desired results.
  • Supporting the team on pursuing work through assisting with RFP preparation including schedule and fee

Qualifications

  • Registered architect in Nova Scotia (NSAA), or eligibility to be registered in the province
  • Minimum of 7 years experience working in a similar role
  • Experience with Healthcare or Science & Technology projects is considered a strong asset
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, AutoCAD software, Visualization software, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam.
