Licensed Practical Nurse Contractor Job description We seek skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Contractor. The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in an acute or community setting and have in-depth knowledge of Home Care and community care standards. Our organization is growing; we’re regularly adding new Contractors to our team. The ideal candidate will perform nursing-related service request tasks in the client’s home and community setting. The Contractor will require reliable transportation to travel to each client’s residence. Upon arrival, the Contractor will complete the services requested within a standard timeframe. Upon leaving the client’s residence, the Contractor will document the experience, update the Noosu Admin on any profile inconsistency as necessary and relay any concerns to the admin staff. The Contractor would be responsible for completing the service tasks assigned to them within their designated shift time. As a Contractor, the successful candidate can set their schedule.

Required Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills, proven critical thinking, decision making and assessment skills.
  • Physically able to perform all service request tasks.
  • Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation.
  • Insurance is required. This position requires a vehicle for business use.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.
  • Must be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement and contractor agreement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dementia Education.
  • Experience in caring for older adults.
  • Skin and Wound Home Care education, a minimum two years of wound care experience is preferred.
  • Certification in CVC.
Education
  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
License/Certification
  • BLS Certification (required)
