Job Description:Job Description Job Title: Child and Family Ministries Pastor Job Overview: Highway Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as our Full-time Child and Family Ministries Pastor at our vibrant Pentecostal church. The ideal candidate will have a heart for discipling children, youth, and families, and will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our children's and family ministries, creating a nurturing and engaging environment where children and families can grow in their faith and relationship with God. Responsibilities: 1. Spiritual Leadership: Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to children, youth, and families, helping them grow in their understanding of the gospel and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 2. Program Development: Develop and implement age-appropriate programs and curriculum for children's ministry, including Sunday School, children's worship, midweek programs, and special events. 3. Volunteer Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to serve in various capacities within children's and family ministries, including teachers, small group leaders, and event coordinators. 4. Outreach and Evangelism: Develop strategies for reaching out to children and families in the community, organizing events and activities to engage them and share the love of Christ. 5. Pastoral Care: Provide pastoral care and support to children and families, offering guidance, counseling, and prayer as needed. 6. Collaboration: Work closely with other church staff members and ministry leaders to ensure alignment and integration of children's and family ministries with the overall vision and mission of the church. 7. Parental Support: Equip and support parents in their role as primary spiritual influencers in their children's lives, providing resources, encouragement, and opportunities for growth. 8. Administrative Duties: Manage administrative tasks related to children's and family ministries, including budgeting, scheduling, communication, and strong executive functioning. Qualifications: 1. A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a vibrant faith demonstrated through a lifestyle of prayer, worship, and discipleship. 2. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (theology, Christian education, etc.) is preferred, but not required. Ministry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. 3. Previous experience working in children's ministry, youth ministry, or family ministry, with a strong understanding of child development and family dynamics. 4. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate volunteers, parents, and children. 5. A heart for evangelism and outreach, with a desire to see children and families come to know Christ and grow in their faith. 6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a servant-hearted attitude and a willingness to support the overall ministry of the church.
