We are seeking a motivated anddetail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The idealcandidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and a strongdesire to learn and grow in the field. This entry-level position offers anexcellent opportunity for professional development and hands-on experience infinancial management.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately record financialtransactions.
- Issuing cheques and initiatingdeposits.
- Maintain organized andup-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies andaccounting standards.
- Reconcile bank statements toensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Identify and resolvediscrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor and categorize companyexpenses, ensuring proper documentation.
- Assist in the preparation offinancial reports, summaries, and statements.
- Generate routine financialreports to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with team membersand other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information flow.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a MUST.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- College or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- At least 1-2 years work experience in and finance or accounting role
- Experience in the insurance brokerage is preferred (not must)
- Experience with QuickBooks and PowerBroker
- Your time management skills are top notch and your ability to prioritize and meet deadlines is your forte.
This role provides an excellent opportunityfor career growth within the finance and accounting department. The Bookkeeperwill have the chance to develop their skills through training, mentorship, andon-the-job experience.
