In this role, you will be responsible for developing custom PLC and HMI applications in support of Municipal Water, Wastewater and Advanced Oxidation UV Treatment Projects.  You will be responsible for creating written narratives describing UV System control and operation along with writing and executing testing protocols for project and customer verifications.  You will liaise with globally located partners in sales, project, production, service and product teams.  You will grow and develop into a technical leader by leveraging technical expertise, by providing encouragement and mentorship to junior controls designers, to cross functional disciplines and provide leadership support for your leader.

Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Post-secondary education in Electrical / Controls System Engineering
  • Experience in PLC and HMI programming for a minimum of 5+ years’ developing complex customer or product logic solutions utilizing Rockwell Studio5000 and FactoryTalk View
  • Experience in reading electrical schematics, P&ID’s and customer specifications

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Siemens TIA Portal
  • Schneider Control Expert and Vijeo Designer
  • or other PLC additional experience
  • Industrial network protocols and embedded systems
