Overview:

Join our dynamic Building Operations and Custodial team as a building technician and play a vital role in ensuring our facilities are spotless, safe, and welcoming for all who enter. This position is far more than just cleaning—it’s about being a key player in maintaining the heart of our community space and ministry endeavours, with opportunities for growth in maintenance, project management, and general facility strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Support:Lead and facilitate the set-up, upkeep, and tear-down of special events, meetings, and programs, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for attendees.
  • Maintenance Tasks:Perform basic maintenance tasks to keep the facility in top condition, including minor repairs.
  • Property Care:Maintain the cleanliness and order of properties, including various seasonal requirements, ensuring our spaces are immaculate, inviting, and comfortable for everyone.
  • Security Support:Monitor, evaluate and report any building security issues, contributing to a safe environment for everyone.
  • Flexible Response:Be adaptable in responding to various facility issues/changes as they arise.
  • Collaborative Teamwork:Work closely with the Facilities team to support various maintenance and operational tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • People-oriented:Highly relational individual who enjoys interacting with others and finds value in helping people.
  • Loves Jesus and His Church:A committed Christian who fully endorses and supports the leadership and vision of Willow Park Church.
  • Relevant Experience:At least three years of training and experience in custodial or related work areas.
  • Independent and Team Player:Demonstrates initiative to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Capability:Physically capable of setting up and clearing spaces, including lifting, kneeling, crawling, and reaching.
  • Organizational Skills:Organized and capable of improving and developing efficient procedures.
  • Communication Skills:Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
