Title: Mechanical Designer Engineer

Summary:

Our client is currently looking for a project manager/mechanical engineer who has experience in the building industry to come and join their growing team They are a well established firm, involved in different industries in western Canada. This role has great growth potential, and catapult your professional journey to a new level.

Responsibilities:

  • Be involved with preliminary design and engineering duties
  • Prepare detailed design calculations, layouts, and reports.
  • Partner with other disciplines to come up with solutions to complex issues to meet clients' needs
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Take a lead within projects to ensure timelines
  • Be involved in all aspects of projects - contractors, subcontractors, site visit, and client facing responsibilities
  • Have an excellent sense of urgency, able to meet tight deadlines, and problem solve unexpected challenges.
  • Be involved with business development, and build client relationships

Requirements:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with APEGA and APEGS.
  • Self-motivated and organized with strong management skills
  • Analytically inclined with a strong sense of problem solving
  • Familiar with industry standards and codes.
  • Able to work independently and with a team environment
  • Effective communication with a proficiency to convey ideas both written and verbal
