Department of Research, Monitoring and EvaluationNunavut Tunngavik IncorporatedLocated in Iqaluit, NUTERM TO MARCH 31, 2029Under the direction of the Senior Manager of RME, the Nunavut Research Advisor will advance the NTI research agenda by participating in, coordinating, and monitoring research activities in Nunavut. This position will help advance Inuit self-determination in research, to ensure Inuit values are respected, and to ensure priorities and concerns of Inuit in Nunavut are being addressed. The Nunavut Research Advisor will lead and coordinate the regional review of ArcticNet and Inuit Qaujisarnirmut Piliriijutit (IQP) research proposals and reports as well as represent NTI at the ArcticNet Inuit Research Management Committee (IRMC).To be invited for an interview; Grade 12 diploma plus a post-secondary diploma or degree in a research related discipline, or a combination of education/training and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of Nunavut Tunngavik Inc’s mission, familiarity with the Nunavut Agreement and sensitivity to local, political and cultural context in Nunavut; experience in proposal and report writing, proven ability to work well independently or in a team environment, experience in project management, coordination or other relevant skills, self motivated, reliable and dependable.
