This team is responsible for the management of Specialty Lines claims such as complex liability, property, E&O, and other municipal and public entity claims. Your claims experience and strive for excellence will help you successfully manage the day-to-day operations of your teams. Your passion for coaching, development and engagement will help strengthen team connections, keep everyone motivated to deliver second-to-none experiences for our customers and inspire people to go above and beyond in everything they do. - Monitor financial performance and productivity and report observations, progress, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Provide your expertise on claims matters including policy interpretation, liability and quantum determination, and settlement negotiation.
- Maintain work-product quality control of high standards.
- Provide effective leadership, responsible for hiring and terminations, coaching and mentoring, performance management, continuous learning and career development for your team of claims file handlers.
- Under the Hybrid Return-To-Office model, you will maintain a virtual and physical touchpoint with your leaders and team.
What you bring to the table:
- Experience with or exposure to Specialty Insurance Claims (Complex Casualty, E&O, Property, Municipal and Public Entity)
- Excellent claims technical skills with a deep understanding of insurance coverage issues.
- Proven leadership skills with experience coaching and mentoring.
- Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills – you can relate to anyone
- Skilled in the Intact Leadership Success Factors: Live Our Values; Care for People; Be Open and Honest; Take Accountability; Drive Change.
- Positive attitude while adapting to changing priorities and taking ownership of work.
- University Degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation preferred.
