How will you create an impact:

The Corporate Director, Contracted Services and Partnership Management is accountable for the contracted services and partnerships support and direction of Operational and Corporate Leadership Teams within the Health Authority. As a member of the CFO Leadership Team, the Corporate Director interprets and translates provincial mandates, Interior Health (IH)-wide directions, and portfolio priorities into operational strategies, while working collaboratively with leaders across Corporate and Operational areas to ensure smooth implementation and transition through project phases. The Corporate Director, Contracted Services and Partnerships Management has responsibility for strategic and tactical project/program development and operational implementation for a variety of complex projects within the Chief Financial Officer portfolio and operational leadership of the P3 Operations, Leasing and Contracted Services portfolios. The Corporate Director also provides input and makes recommendations to the CFO, to Senior Executives and senior leadership on business and financial issues as they relate to ongoing contracted services strategy and operations and provides advice and coordination on strategic priorities.

In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, maintain a healthy and safe work environment through complying with and implementing applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, responding to requests from WSBC, identifying hazards and communicating risks, ensuring compliance with employee training, conducting effective incident investigations and implementing required corrective actions.

What will you work on:

1. Provides strategic and operational leadership in the provision of effective management of P3 operations team and oversees the contractual relationships between IH and P3 partners. Provides strategic and Operational leadership of the Leasing team, including building and fleet services.

2. Liaises with senior leadership tables within IH and connects with Directors, Managers, employees, physicians, and other Health Authorities as required to support initiatives and partnerships which advance clinical service priorities

3. Identifies and engages with key internal and external partners, facilitates discussion/problem-solving, builds consensus, and facilitates transformation and horizontal implementation of complex strategies across the organization.

4. Works to remove barriers that hamper inter- and intra-departmental communications to facilitate project planning and implementation. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees and business partners that support and advance business goals and objectives.

5. Undertakes the research required to provide best practice project/program recommendations that support and enhance organization-wide goals, Ministry requirements, and project deliverables.

6. Leads the Contracted Services function, including procurement and oversight of the contracts for clinical services, valued at $400M, and management of the strategic and operational teams.

7. Leads the development and review of contracted services policy, including procurement policy, contract management processes and termination policy and processes and seeks to shape contracted services policy at a provincial level including priorities, reporting requirements and funding levels.

8. Provides leadership to Directors, Consultants and Analysts within his/her team in the delivery of products, services and support for internal and external customers.

9. Develops strong liaisons with Executive Directors and SET members within the Health Authority and counterparts in other Health Authorities

10. Develops and maintains strong relationships with external bodies, including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, Contracted Partners and their provincial representative bodies, Regional Hospital Districts, municipalities and other funding bodies.

11. Is accountable for allocating resources and approving budget recommendations and remedial strategies prepared by others.

12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualfications
Education, Training, and Experience:
• A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• A Master’s degree in a health, business or related discipline.
• Ten to fifteen years of recent, relevant experience.
