Job SummaryAre you a team player who is looking for a great co-op placement in Paint Process Engineering? We would like to hear from you We are currently hiring a Chemical Engineering Co-op student for our Fabrications and Finishing department. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a post-secondary education in Chemical Engineering.
As the Paint Process Engineering Assistant Co-op, you will report directly to the Assistant Manager of Fabrications and utilize your knowledge, excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to assist in the Fabrication and Finishing Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for chemical engineering and wants to gain valuable experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work Arrangement:On-site, 5 days per week on the Day Shift
Work Term:Fall 2024 (Sept - Dec 2024)
Responsibilities- Study and learn the process involved with powder coat paint process – pretreatment, painting, curing, etc.
- Develop and update paint process standards
- Study and understand paint quality issues and work with the process experts to resolve root cause
- Participate in other continuous improvement projects
- Currently enrolled in a registered post-secondary co-op program in Chemical Engineering.
- Available and eligible for a 4 month co-op placement for the Fall 2024 Co-op Work Term.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
