Tasks:
  1. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  2. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements
  3. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  4. Train, direct, and motivate staff
  5. Mediate labour disputes and grievances
  6. Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
  7. Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies
  8. Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs
  9. Manage contracts
  10. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  11. Manage training and development strategies
  12. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  13. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
  14. Oversee the development of communication strategies
  15. Oversee the preparation of reports
  16. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  17. Hire, train, and supervise staff
  18. Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants
  19. Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
  20. Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations
  21. Recruit and hire staff
  22. Coaching
  23. Propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures
