National Training and Operations Manager – Temporary 6 month Contract

We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary National Training and Operations Manager to join COBS Bread on a 6 month contract. This position will report to the National Director of Operations and will be responsible for planning, delivery and management of training programs for all key stakeholders as well as lead the development and implementation of National Operations Programs. Responsibilities include:
  1. Ensure all strategic and day-to-day Operational programs are developed to a high standard that will ensure success for Franchisees and a great experience for Customers.
  2. Collaborate with department managers to identify, assess and facilitate current and future training needs
  3. Ensure all training and development programs are developed and delivered in a cost-effective manner
  4. Develop, implement and monitor training programs nationwide
  5. Assess and monitor the ROI of all programs to ensure maximum benefit for employees, Franchisees and COBS
  6. Identify and propose eLearning module opportunities and requirement
  7. Strive to ensure high levels of execution and participant satisfaction with training and operational programs
  8. Deliver training workshops in-person and online and liaise with SME on training resource content
  9. Ensure successful implementation of COBS Bread’s training initiatives and improvements across a large number of retail franchise locations
Requirements:

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of work experience leading a Training or learning and Development function, ideally in the food service, hospitality or franchise industry
  • 5+ years’ managerial experience leading a small, remote team
  • Degree with concentration in HR or Business Management
  • Proven experience with designing and implementing training programs in a franchise, retail or QSR operations environment
  • Ability to design and implement successful and effective training and development programs and activities in various forms
  • Effective communications skills (verbal, written, presentations) with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
  • Experience dealing with third parties, consultants, and training specialists
  • Proven ability to implement and manage budgets
  • Knowledge of training contracts and relevant legislation
  • Technology savvy and experience in being a system super user and trainer
  • A good tolerance for multi-tasking and managing competing priorities; Occasional travel may be required
