Reporting to the Manager, Industrial Controls, the Controls Engineer/Technologist will be responsible for the design, programming, and commissioning of Industrial Control Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce electrical and control system design drawings and other documentation including single line diagrams, electrical schematics, panel layouts, load calculations, BOMs, and other related documents;
  2. Design and modify new and existing PLC programs;
  3. Specify and select electrical components for use in electrical design;
  4. Oversee and support control panel builds and FAT testing;
  5. Support on-site team with system testing and commissioning.

Our Must Haves:
  1. Minimum five (5) years of experience in Electrical Design and troubleshooting;
  2. Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent;
  3. Professional Engineer “P.Eng” designation with EGBC is considered as an asset;
  4. Experience in control system and electrical panel design using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN platforms;
  5. Working knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley) and HMI programming;
  6. Experience working in the food, manufacturing, agriculture, pulp and paper, or forestry/lumber industries will be considered an asset.
