Overall ResponsibilitiesThe Business Intelligence Systems Analyst will have a primary focus on overall security, integrity, and stability of Jamieson’s BI Platforms. Aiding in the design and support of new business reporting solutions, and refinement of existing ones, this role will take on business analyst functions as part of their skill set. This role will also play a key in supporting business users in critical business applications like ERP and supply chain optimization.Specific Key Responsibilities & Dutiesa) Data ManagementApply knowledge of statistics, programming, and data modeling, to recognize patterns and identify opportunities to add business valueDefine data models, like data warehouses, to build an efficient overall data architectureDevelop ETL workflows to transform data between various systemsb) Technology:Assist with defining business requirements for new functionality within the BI environmentSupport the business through change control procedures to implement new report elements and dashboardsFrontend BI development for dashboards and report elementsTroubleshoot data anomalies and provide resolution feedback to the businessMonitor the overall stability, availability, and functionality of the Jamieson BI platformContinuously evolve to understand and work with modern reporting technologiesTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with the supply chain optimization softwarec) Business Analyst:Assist in the design and implementation of the BI change request processLiaison with business stakeholders to design and document new BI reportsEnsuring solutions meet business needs and requirementsSupport projects, adhering to project plansEffectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and managementPerform user acceptance testingAssist with the development and maintenance of the ERPAct as ambassador for IT department and as an advocate for technology and ERP best practicesd) Governance:Ensure appropriate levels of security, availability, and redundancy for BI technology stackMaintain, follow and enhance as necessary, any appropriate SOPs for IT departmentSupport and enforce any IT related PoliciesWorking in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities ProcedureComply with all associated GMP Practicese) Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities RequirementsDegree or Diploma in Computer Science or related field1-3 Years experience in a Data Analyst related roleFamiliarity with the following technology:Tableau, Snowflake, AWS, SQL, Informatica, KinaxisWorking knowledge of database architecture and data schema designExperience working with SAP would be an assetExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organization and prioritization skillsStrong business acumen
