De qui avons-nous besoin?

La conseillère principale ou le conseiller principal, Dons planifiés, s’occupe activement des donatrices et donateurs testamentaires francophones et anglophones. De plus, cette personne évalue et convertit les alliés francophones et anglophones, et établit des relations avec ceux-ci. Elle gère un portefeuille de plus de 1000donatrices et donateurs testamentaires, en se concentrant sur ceux habitant au Québec, en Ontario et dans les provinces de l’Atlantique.

En outre, la ou le titulaire du poste tisse des liens avec des professionnels de domaines connexes, comme le notariat, le droit et la planification financière.

Au besoin, cette personne collabore avec des équipes internes comme celle de la gestion du patrimoine afin de garantir une expérience exceptionnelle aux alliés. Elle collabore activement avec ses collègues de l’équipe du développement de sa région et appuie leurs conversations relatives aux dons planifiés avec les alliés et les donatrices et donateurs potentiels de dons majeurs.

Fonctions qui feront que votre engagement aura un impact positif chaque jour

Évaluation, établissement de relations, conversion, sollicitation et fidélisation
  • Évaluer les alliés et les convertir en donatrices et donateurs testamentaires en établissant des relations personnalisées avec eux.
  • Favoriser les dons majeurs en repérant et en évaluant les alliés et les donatrices et donateurs testamentaires, et en sollicitant des dons majeurs immédiats auprès d’eux.
  • Collaborer avec ses collègues de l’équipe du développement de ses provinces et régions pour maximiser le potentiel des donatrices et donateurs actuels afin qu’ils effectuent un don planifié grâce à des stratégies d’établissement de relations et de sollicitation.
  • Mettre en œuvre un plan de fidélisation personnalisé et bien organisé qui assure un engagement continu auprès des donatrices et donateurs de Cœur+AVC (donateurs testamentaires potentiels), garantit la continuité des dons existants et permet d’en solliciter d’autres, le cas échéant.
  • Établir des relations avec des conseillères et conseillers professionnels afin qu’ils fassent la promotion des dons planifiés à Cœur+AVC auprès de leur clientèle.

Collaboration interne
  • Collaborer avec ses collègues de l’équipe du développement et appuyer leurs conversations relatives aux dons planifiés, y compris les dons testamentaires, les dons d’assurancevie et les dons de régimes d’épargne enregistrés.
  • Répondre aux demandes (en français et en anglais) relatives aux dons planifiés adressées à l’équipe des services aux donateurs.
  • Collaborer avec les membres de l’équipe de la gestion du patrimoine pour assurer un soutien exceptionnel aux donatrices et donateurs testamentaires (en français et en anglais).

Administration et analyse des paramètres
  • Gérer efficacement les déplacements de donatrices et donateurs et respecter les protocoles et processus internes: entrer les renseignements de l’allié, du donateur ou du partenaire dans la base de données et traiter toutes les informations confidentielles de manière sérieuse et éthique.
  • Élaborer des plans de gestion des relations, et anticiper et consigner les interactions ainsi que les points de contact afin de renforcer les relations.
  • Se conformer à toutes les politiques et pratiques de Cœur+AVC, y compris le code de conduite professionnelle de l’Association des professionnels en philanthropie (AFP) et de l’Association canadienne des professionnels en dons planifiés (ACPDP).
  • Obtenir les renseignements les plus récents sur les techniques de dons planifiés et sur les modifications législatives pertinentes se rapportant au Québec, à l’Ontario et aux provinces de l’Atlantique.


Type de personne recherchée
Formation
  • Avoir une formation postsecondaire dans un domaine connexe (en affaires, en marketing ou en communications, un atout important).
  • Détenir le titre de CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) (un atout, mais pas une obligation).

Expérience
  • Posséder au moins sept ans d’expérience pertinente en collecte de fonds, y compris cinq ans en collecte de dons majeurs ou planifiés, et avoir démontré son habileté à récolter des dons majeurs (plus de 25000$) ou planifiés.
  • Avoir de l’expérience de travail au sein d’une organisation d’envergure et complexe.

Aptitudes
  • Être bilingue (capable de communiquer en anglais et en français), selon la région.
  • Avoir d’excellentes habiletés en matière de relations interpersonnelles.
  • Posséder d’excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite et en présentation, autant en anglais qu’en français.
  • Faire preuve de patience et de sensibilité en répondant aux besoins individuels des donatrices et donateurs potentiels.
  • Faire preuve de motivation.
  • Avoir de solides compétences analytiques.

The opportunity

The Senior Advisor, Legacy Giving will actively steward English and French speaking legacy donors, as well as qualify, cultivate, and convert English and French speaking legacy prospects. They will manage a large portfolio of over 1,000 legacy gift donors, with a focus on those in Quebec, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada.

In addition, the Senior Advisor, Legacy Giving will build relationships with allied professionals including notaries, lawyers, and financial advisors/planners.

The Senior Advisor, Legacy Giving will collaborate with internal teams, for example Estate Administration, as appropriate to ensure exceptional constituent experience. They will actively work with Development colleagues in the region and support their legacy gift conversations with major gift prospects and donors.

(Please note we offer hybrid working options. For this role, candidates located in ON or QC, must be able to travel to either the Toronto or Montreal office when requested.)

How you will make an impact every day

Qualification, Cultivation, Conversion, Solicitation and Stewardship

  • Through building personalized relationships, qualify, cultivate and convert legacy giving prospects

  • Encourage current major gift support through identification, qualification and solicitation of outright major gifts from legacy prospects and donors

  • Collaborate with Development colleagues in provinces and regions to maximize the potential of current donors as legacy giving prospects through collaboration on cultivation and solicitation strategies

  • Implements well-organized, personal stewardship plan that offers continued engagement with Heart & Stroke donors (legacy expectants), stewards existing gift and solicits other giving as appropriate.

  • Build relationships with professional advisors to build awareness of legacy giving at Heart & Stroke as possible consideration for their clients

Internal Collaboration

  • Work with and support Development colleagues on legacy gift conversations including gift in Will, gift of life insurance and gift of registered saving plans

  • Respond to French and English-speaking requests to Donor Services re legacy giving

  • Work with Estate Administration team members to support exceptional estate gift stewardship (French and English speaking)

Administration and Metrics Analytics

  • Effectively manage donor moves and adhere to internal protocols and processes: enter prospect and donor/partner information into the database, and handle all confidential donor information in a sensitive and ethical manner

  • Develop relationship management plans and anticipate and document future interactions and touch points to build relationship

  • Comply with all policies and practices at H&S, including compliance with AFP and CAGP Code of Professional Conduct

  • Actively pursue up-to-date information on legacy giving techniques and relevant legislative changes as it pertains to the provinces of ON, QC and the Maritimes

Who we need

Education

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (Business, Marketing & Communications would be particularly valuable)

  • CFRE designation preferred but not essential

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years relevant fundraising experience including 5 years in major and/or legacy giving with a proven record in successfully closing major gifts ($25,000+) and/or legacy gifts.

  • Experience working in a large, complex organization.

Skills

  • Bilingual (able to communicate in both languages) – regionally based
