About the Role
Virtuo is seeking an experienced Content Manager focused on conversion-driven copy to join our fast-paced startup. Reporting to the Head of Revenue, you will have the opportunity to develop the entire content strategy from the ground up, write and create content for a variety of marketing projects, including (but not limited to), campaigns, thought leadership, sales presentations, technical writing, social media, guides, press releases, blog posts, email, video scripts, website pages and case studies.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine annual content strategy and plan based on core marketing and business objectives, trends/themes and key audience needs.
- Develop conversion-driven copy that drives engagement and maximizes conversion rates across all marketing channels.
- Craft content strategies and experiences that engage our audience and tell a story.
- Oversee Virtuo’s content production for campaigns and work to ensure they are as efficient as possible.
- Own the development and management (planning, tracking and reporting) of all content development work.
- Plan, align and track content creation and curation efforts to the annual plan; develop a dashboard of reach and engagement achievements and track in-flight initiatives for executive reporting.
- Map content creation to user journeys, ideal customer profile and personas to support account based marketing and digital initiatives.
- Work hand-in-hand with sales, customer success and product to integrate content strategy according to the different stages of the funnel, collaborating to the elaboration and refinement of the voice and tone.
- Own the development of both created and curated content that may include emails, landing pages, ads, white papers, presentations, webinars, sales collateral, blogs, articles, case studies and videos.
- Continually test web content strategy to determine the optimal approach to reaching and engaging various segments of our target audiences.
- Identify opportunities for content efficiency and automation and work cross-functionally to implement them.
Skills You’ll Need
- 3+ years of copywriting and writing marketing content.
- Considerable experience working in a marketing, sales or customer support role in a data-driven internet, SaaS, fintech, start-up, or other technology company.
- 3+ years of working with a marketing automation and CRM platform, preferably Hubspot.
- Experience in building a content strategy from the ground up.
- Understanding of full-funnel marketing concepts and strategies.
- Proven ability to successfully manage traditional marketing and social media campaigns.
- Ability to drive your own research.
- A working knowledge and comfort working in CMS platforms, such as WordPress or Webflow.
- An understanding of marketing & sales strategy with a particularly strong knowledge of the digital marketing space, including SEO, automation, paid search & social, optimization, and personalization.
- Strong customer empathy, an understanding of customer psychological behaviour and needs with respect to technology use, and the ability to approach problems from both the company's and customer's perspectives.
- Ability to work independently and proactively to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including confidence to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
How You’ll Be Measured
- Content Engagement: Track metrics such as page views, time on page, shares, and social media engagement to assess the impact of your content.
- Lead Generation: Measure the number of leads generated through content marketing efforts, including form submissions, downloads, and sign-ups.
- Conversion Rates: Evaluate the effectiveness of content in driving conversions at various stages of the funnel.
- SEO Performance: Monitor improvements in organic search rankings and organic traffic resulting from SEO-optimized content.
- Content Production: Assess the volume and quality of content produced and how it aligns with the content strategy and marketing goals.
- Audience Growth: Track the growth of the audience across various channels (e.g., blog subscribers, social media followers).
- Brand Awareness: Measure the increase in brand mentions, backlinks, and overall brand visibility resulting from content efforts.
