Our Ottawa office is looking for a Insolvency Advisor to join the Personal Debt Solution team. The successful candidate would be responsible to travel regularly to surrounding areas including Pembroke, Cornwall and Hawkesbury. This role requires an in office presence. Additionally, the successful candidate would own the following responsibilities:
Assist debtors and creditors, both in person and by telephone, as it relates to bankruptcies and proposals
Perform initial consultations in order to assess the debtor’s situation and recommend appropriate options, training will be provided
Review interview forms, prepare files/documents for client signing
Community outreach, business development and presentations

Your experience and education
Experience in a financial advisory role or a strong customer service-focused role would be considered an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French is an asset
Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and a variable workload as required
Must be able to liaise well with staff and outside parties
Insolvency experience is an asset
Willingness to complete or have completed the BIA Administrator Insolvency Course
