As a growing company, Fix Network is looking for a Senior Accountant who can lead projects in a constantly changing world. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the entire accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, analyzing monthly financial statements, and preparing financial reports.

Job Duties:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting including making journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple business segments
  • Keep accurate records of all financial and administrative activities
  • Provide, revise, and update internal reports for efficiency and provide external reports as needed
  • Prepare monthly billing to franchisees
  • Support internal billing verification and follow-up procedures for new franchisees
  • Prepare and verify accounts payable and corporate credit card reports
  • Prepare, verify, and account for payroll
  • Prepare monthly tax returns
  • Prepare monthly dashboards for simplified financial information
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and coordinate with partners to resolve differences
  • Prepare and support the distribution of financial statements
  • Perform variance analysis on monthly financial statements against the budget
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting by preparing revenue and expense calculations
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and reports for senior management
  • Maintain year-end documents and assist with audits
  • Prepare working papers and schedules for audits and tax filings
  • Assist in maintaining financial policies and procedures
  • Implement new processes to improve the Finance department
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English; French language an asset
  • CPA student an asset
  • 3-5 years of business accounting experience
  • Experience with different currencies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central 365 an asset
  • Knowledge of Prophix an asset
  • Experience in franchising an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the complete accounting cycle
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft suite
