LeverageTek is actively seeking an Advisor, Contract Management for a 6-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Provide timely advice and expertise to the organization in respect of public sector procurement and contracting policies and processes.
Responsible to ensure that appropriate contracting instruments are in place to meet Objectives for major funded programs, other key corporate initiatives and. Help ensure protection from exposure to commercial and reputational risks and supports the cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.
Contacting and negotiating with external service providers to communicate and protect needs coordinating, negotiating, and establishing contracts for services and supplies; Post-secondary education in a business or commerce, or an acceptable number of years experience and/or training in this field
~5 years experience in providing procurement and contracting support to a multi-disciplinary work group, in a demanding environment
~ Experience analyzing the contract terms and identifying areas of possible risks and opportunities related to the application of contract clauses in collaboration with internal management and legal counsel as well as external legal counsel when required


Experience with contract management software & Microsoft office suite programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
~3 years experience coordinating and supporting contracting activities in the public sector
