Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preoperative and postoperative measurements, offering clear explanations to patients throughout the process.
  • Review imaging maps to validate their accuracy.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and patient care.
  • Perform preliminary patient work-up including visual acuity, lensometry, and auto-refraction.
  • Assist ophthalmologists with patient examinations and minor surgical procedures.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual field testing and OCT imaging.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical records systems.
  • Educate patients on eye care procedures, medications, and post-operative care instructions.
  • Sterilize and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed.

Experience

  • Experience in a medical office setting, preferably in ophthalmology or optometry.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
  • Proficiency with Epic software is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Additional pay:
