Job Description

As an Industrial Millwright you will:

  1. Install, repair, assemble and maintain plant machinery, equipment and structures.
  2. Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
  3. Works from complex blueprints, shop handbooks, layouts, and other specifications (written or verbal) to determine the materials and working procedures needed in the maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, and structures.
  4. Welds, brazes, scrapes, solders, cuts, etc. various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipment.
  5. Involved in rigging and scaffolding; moves heavy machinery and equipment; lubricates greases, oils, etc., plant machinery and equipment.
  6. Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
  7. Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
Qualifications

The Industrial Millwright should have:

  • Must possess Industrial Millwright License with Red Seal Endorsement.
  • 5 years of related work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Must have experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Must have experience and basic knowledge of computers and be able to enter PM activities.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to read blueprints, diagrams and drawings.
  • Basic computer and report writing skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate using English language.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
  • Good time-management skills.
Hours of Work:

Continental: 6am to 6pm then 6pm to 6am (3-2-2)
