Regional Sales Director - Quebec

What Will You Be Doing?

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Regional Sales Director based out of Quebec, supporting our Quebec region. The Regional Sales Manager is a key member of the sales leadership team and will report into the Vice President of Sales.

  • Build, coach and lead Midland’s Quebec sales team which consists of five Account Managers;
  • Ensure sales revenue and gross margin targets are achieved;
  • Achieve revenue plan for LTL, TL, Courier and Brokerage;
  • Maintain key customer relationships while developing and implementing strategies for expanding the company's customer base in Quebec;
  • Explore new markets, services and products and development of these opportunities for revenue growth;
  • Achieve required rate increases to improve revenue quality on a continuous basis;
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

  • Years of Experience Required: 6-10 years’ experience in the transportation/courier industry;
  • Education Required: Successful completion of post-secondary education, education in Sales and Marketing an asset;
  • Major account experience is an asset;
  • Sales management experience preferred;
  • Solid LTL, Truckload and Courier transportation knowledge and experience;
  • Highly motivated and results oriented individual;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of transportation operations would be preferred.

Vos fonctions

  • Bâtir, encadrer et diriger l’équipe des ventes québécoise de Midland, qui comprend cinq directeurs des comptes.
  • S’assurer que les objectifs sont atteints en termes de chiffre d’affaires et de marge brute.
  • Réaliser les recettes prévues en matière de transport de LTL et TL, d’envois de messagerie et de services de courtage.
  • Entretenir les relations avec les clients clés tout en élaborant et mettant en œuvre des stratégies de croissance de la clientèle au Québec au profit de l’entreprise.
  • Explorer de nouveaux marchés, services et produits et exploiter ces débouchés pour augmenter les revenus.
  • Obtenir les hausses de tarif requises pour constamment améliorer la qualité des revenus.
  • Créer un environnement favorisant l’amélioration continue.

La personne que nous recherchons

  • Années d’expérience souhaitées : 6 à 10 ans dans le secteur du transport et/ou de la messagerie
  • Diplôme postsedcondaire exigé – atout : formation en ventes et en marketing
  • Atout : expérience des grands comptes
  • Préférablement une expérience en gestion des ventes
  • Bonnes connaissances et expérience du transport de LTL et TL et de la messagerie
  • Personne très motivée qui a un vrai souci des résultats
  • Solides compétences en service à la clientèle
  • Excellentes aptitudes à communiquer et grand entregent
  • Préférablement une connaissance des opérations de transport
