The Medical Office Assistant serves patients by greeting and helping them, conducting vitals screening, scheduling appointments, maintaining records and accounts for the Sturgeon Medical Clinic, and supporting the physicians in providing exceptional patient care, including faxing referrals, third-party billing, faxing prescriptions, and follow-up calls for patients. Hourly pay depends on work experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
  • Maintain electronic medical records accurately and confidentially
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, correspondence, charting, indexing, faxing pharmacy prescriptions, and faxing referrals
  • Coordinate front desk activities to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist with insurance verification and billing processes

Required Skills:

  • Good Attendance
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical records
  • Strong office and administrative skills
  • Experience working at the front desk in a medical office
