Our goal is to hold a safe space for children and caregivers to feel heard and understood and learn new ways of moving forward together.Role DescriptionTessellate Child and Family Therapy is looking for a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team Our ideal candidate for this position should have experience working and connecting with children, creating safe environments for children and families, and the ability to assess, recommend, and follow through with individualized treatment plans. We are looking for someone with a strong ability to listen to others, make appropriate decisions based on critical thinking, and has excellent communication skills.Requirements:Minimum education level: Master’s DegreeMember of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of OntarioResponsibilities:Assess nature of clients' situations by interviewing and reviewing personal historyComplete assessments and draft thorough reports based on those assessmentsDevelop and execute individual treatment plans using age appropriate interventionsSupport a caseload of children of various agesDetermine appropriate milestones to gauge client progressCommunicate client updates to all relevant partiesFacilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and programsMaintain accurate client documentationWork collaboratively with team members and community partnersSkills:Excellent oral and written communication skillsPrevious experience working with children and familiesExcellent listening skillsStrong time management skillsCreativityAbility to work well independently as well as in a teamAbility to work collaboratively with other professionals
