If your passion is rooted in working with school-age children, truly being able to make a difference in someone’s life, leadership and you have a passion for building strong rapport and relationships, then this role will be right up your alley.We have full time and part time roles available based in our GTA locations (Toronto and Scarborough)What you will be doing:You will be responsible for delivering care to children with rehabilitation needs, in our School-based Rehabilitation Program and must be able to work in a dynamic environment while facilitating relationships between families, schools, and the local healthcare systems.You will work collaboratively to provide patient care both virtually and with in-person visits.Responsible for providing services involving short-term consultation, training, and intervention for specific rehabilitation needs.You will be responsible for assessing and treating pediatric clients with various needs, which include but is not limited to: speech sound delays and disorders, motor speech challenges, stuttering, and voice disorders.You thrive on being a self-starter and can work well under minimal supervision.You can work in a team but are proven to be reliable while working independently.Add, assign and supervise Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) as clinically appropriate.Skills needed for success:You are a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual who loves to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment with changing priorities.Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies applicable to practice.Know principles of reflective practice.Use a systematic approach to decision-making during the development, implementation, and evaluation of clients.You are safety-focused and accountable.Highly organized, with the ability to multitask conflicting priorities.You have Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Have current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.Must have a current valid G2/G driving license and access to a reliable insured vehicle.Ability to speak French would be considered an Asset.What you can expect:As a member of Closing the Gap Healthcare’s Team Made for Caringtm, you can expect:Competitive total compensation packageGroup benefits including medical and dentalGenerous Vacation packageIn-depth training and orientation to set you up for successA culture of performance recognition and appreciationA commitment to excellenceWho we are:Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is proud to be a Canadian-owned, award-winning, fully accredited, and publicly-funded organization.We are A Team Made for Caring™ dedicated to providing people of all ages the highest level of care across a wide range of home and community-based and clinic healthcare services.
