The Job We are recruiting for an HR Specialist – Workforce Planning to work with our Human Resources Department. The incumbent will report to the HR Manager. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and oversight in all human resource services related to workforce planning as well as special projects related to employee development and workforce planning including database management and collaborative engagement with other Human Resource areas. This is a Non-Union position.

Qualifications 

  • Post-secondary University Education in an Administration or Human Resource field of study.
  • Over 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Over 3-5 years of Human Resource experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Experience with workforce supply & demand analysis. 
  • Advanced knowledge of software, technology and database systems, including Microsoft applications and Human Resource Information System.
  • Solid understanding of organizational infrastructure and processes.
  • Strong commitment to quality customer service and the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with agency personnel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment. 
  • Strong time management skills & ability to work effectively under the pressure of tight timelines, competing priorities and emergent operational issues.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, initiative, flexibility, analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is a highly desired asset.

Compensation The salary range will be $67,782 to $90,628 commensurate with experience, with a generous benefits package, vacation and leave provisions.
