As a Human Resources Director your primary responsibility is to lead the Human Resources function, providing strategic guidance and direction to support the organization's business objectives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR initiatives that drive employee engagement, talent acquisition, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the setting and evaluation of business strategies and objectives as a member of the site leadership team

Develop, implement and evaluate departmental resource and operational strategies aligned with company objectives

Manage departmental financial budget (capital, expense, resource)

Lead and promote company’s established policies, procedures and programs

Develop and promote site human resources directions in collaboration with the business and corporate leadership teams

Develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies, practices and programs in recruitment, orientation, payroll, compensation, benefits, retirement plans, training & career development, performance management, employee relations and terminations

Maintain knowledge of government, legal and human resources management developments and connections with a range of external agencies or service providers (e.g. legal, insurance companies, workers compensation, consultants)

Perform recruitment activities including advertising and candidate selection procedures

Strategic HR Leadership – Leading initiatives to link a high-growth business strategy to human resources excellence.

Change Leadership – Facilitating and enabling business leadership to drive effective change.

Employee Engagement & Advocacy – Lead local implementation of corporate employee engagement processes to drive effective advocacy which maximizes engagement.
