Director of Operations

POSITION TYPE: CONTRACT (One Year), FULL-TIME
The Director of Operations will be directly responsible for programs of the Downtown Community Safety Partnership (DCSP), COAR, MAC247, CONNECT and CAN Teams. This position will play a fundamental role in managing and developing the teams under their portfolio.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, the Director of Operations will represent the Core Guiding and Service Principles of the DCSP in the community and will be an approachable individual, ensuring the engagement of all teams facilitates positive interactions with the community fostering a sense of safety, health and wellbeing for all.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership
- Provide leadership, direction, motivation, and support to all COAR, MAC247, CONNECT and CAN supervisors and staff
- Provide leadership to coordinate and supervise the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of COAR, MAC247, CONNECT and CAN programs
- Assist in developing and managing the Department’s Strategic Plan and Annual Action Plan
- Ensure key metrics are developed and monitored as per the strategic plan
- Lead and oversee COAR, MAC247, CONNECT and CAN Manager(s), Supervisor(s) and Team Lead(s) to ensure position duties, responsibilities, policies, protocols and deliverables are being met and achieved

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:
- Three to five years’ experience in emergency service’s operations management preferred
- Three to five years of community program delivery experience, with progressive responsibility, preferably in a community setting
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset, however relevant training/experience will also be considered
- Human resource management skills, including experience hiring staff, managing an interdisciplinary team, team building, team planning, facilitation, performance evaluation, conflict resolution and problem solving
