Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal, planning and delivery of consulting engagements with a focus on strategy and planning services with primary on public sector entities, with accompanying work in the private, not-for-profit and Indigenous sectors
  • Execute strategic planning, transformation planning, business planning, feasibility studies, operational planning, program review, program re-design, financial analysis and other forms of management consulting
  • Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met, plus grow and develop long-term client relationships
  • Review, design and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other correspondence
  • Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s business
  • Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to client and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in public administration, public policy, business, economics, political science or other related fields
  • CMC, PMP, Lean or other related certifications are considered an asset
  • 8+ years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment, would be considered an asset
  • Strong business development and practice management skills
  • Demonstration of advanced project management skills and tactics
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills

Responsabilités

  • Diriger la conception, l’organisation et la réalisation de mandats de consultation centrés sur la stratégie et la planification dans plusieurs secteurs : privé, public, à but non lucratif, services aux Autochtones.
  • Fournir des conseils en gestion, notamment des services de planification des affaires, de planification stratégique, de planification opérationnelle, d’examen et de refonte de programmes ainsi que des analyses financières.
  • S’occuper de la planification et de l’organisation des mandats ainsi que des paramètres financiers des projets (les budgets, les travaux en cours, la facturation, le recouvrement et la comptabilisation des écarts).
  • Trouver de nouvelles façons d’offrir une valeur ajoutée aux clients, veiller à répondre à leurs besoins et à renforcer la relation avec eux.
  • Concevoir ou passer en revue des livrables de haute qualité comme des rapports, des présentations et toute autre correspondance d’ordre général.
  • Assurer un contrôle qualité rigoureux et se servir de son expertise pour prévoir, cerner et atténuer les problèmes et les principaux risques relatifs à l’entreprise du client.
  • Faire du réseautage dans le milieu des affaires local; explorer les occasions de développement, diriger la préparation et l’envoi d’offres de services convaincantes qui répondent aux besoins des clients.
  • Fournir du mentorat aux membres de l’équipe, les motiver et les encadrer pour qu’ils puissent progresser et s’épanouir grâce à des objectifs clairs, à de la rétroaction régulière et à des évaluations de rendement annuelles.
  • Participer à la planification stratégique et opérationnelle pour le client et la gestion de la pratique, ainsi qu’à l’élaboration de nouvelles idées et méthodes visant à améliorer les procédures de travail.
  • Être disposé à se déplacer, au besoin.

Compétences et expérience

  • Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en administration des affaires, en économie, en science politique ou dans un domaine connexe
  • CMC, PMP, certification Lean ou autres certifications connexes, un atout
  • 8 ou 9 ans d’expérience dans un rôle de consultant, idéalement en prestation de services aux clients
  • Compétences solides en développement des affaires
  • Compétences éprouvées pour la gestion de projets
  • Leadership reconnu et compétences éprouvées pour la gestion de personnel et les relations interpersonnelles
