Summary

The main responsibility of the Health & Safety Specialist is to encourage and ensure the continuous improvement of Health and Safety performance by:

  1. Regular auditing
  2. Producing actions plans
  3. Identifying key risks
  4. Producing reports
  5. Working with operations leaders to ensure full compliance

You will provide advice and guidance on Health & Safety matters across the organization and with our Agency Partners; study accident trends from near miss information and target areas for improvement; deliver Health and Safety training, and work with the operations team on specific projects.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance with health and safety laws and regulations
  2. Be available to resolve issues and spend time coaching on the production floor
  3. Provide advice regarding the development of safe and healthy practices
  4. Be up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all H&S legislation and any developments that affect FGF
  5. Assist in the investigation and resolution of incidents including root-cause analysis and provide probable causes of incidents and recommendations for resolution and appropriate corrective and preventative measures
