We are looking for a Node.JS Developer for Halifax, NS location.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Halifax, NS is CAD $100k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  1. Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
  2. Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
  3. Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
  4. Implementation of security and data protection
  5. Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)

Requirements:

You are:

  • Proficient in NodeJS, MongoDB, Express, Mongoose, NoSQL
  • Experienced with authentication, entitlements, and encryption
  • Skilled in efficient and performant processing of complex data models
  • Familiar with WebSocket’s and data streaming
  • Knowledgeable in System IO (files) and SMTP mailer (NodeMailer)
  • Experienced with enterprise message brokers and pubsub
