Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration: 4-6 weeks

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Data Analyst to build and maintain ETL scripts to support data quality processes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in Role:
  1. Build and maintain ETL scripts to support data quality processes.
  2. Develop data quality rules to support GBM business areas domain(s) as it aligns with requirements.
  3. Support existing data quality processes.
  4. Design and build scalable DataStage Solutions.
  5. Identify bottlenecks in Data Processing Pipeline.
Must-Have Skills:
  1. Strong Knowledge of IBM Infosphere DataStage with at least 4 years of hands-on experience.
  2. Previous experience with design and building scalable DataStage Solutions.
  3. Previous experience monitoring DataStage Jobs and identifying bottlenecks in Data Processing Pipeline.
  4. Prior experience in working with different data formats – Flat Files, DB, XMLs, JSON, Python, Hive, etc.
  5. Proficient in SQL and Unix commands, scripts.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  1. Previous financial institution experience.
  2. Knowledge of Data Modeling, Database Design, and Data Warehouse Ecosystem.
  3. Prior testing and troubleshooting experience with problems in system designs and processes.
Soft Skills Required:
  1. Demonstrated ability to be flexible/adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities.
  2. Great communication skills are required, as they will regularly be communicating internally and externally.
Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
