We are looking for an engineer to help him streamline and optimize the management, configuration, and support of this diverse platform, ensuring a stable and reliable environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and Innovate : Work with a talented team to develop and enhance our provisioning system and associated tools. These tools provide APIa and commande -line interfaces to help system administrators, developers, and support personal efficiently manage Virtual Machine configurations.
  • Enhance Stability: Create solutions to simplify the management and configuration of our virtualization environment, ensuring it remains easy to support and highly reliable.
  • Develop & Maintain: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform by writing secure, testable, and robust code, and participating in the full software development lifecycle.

What We're Looking For:

  • Programming Expertise:Strong skills in Python and Perl, with a focus on writing secure, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Collaborative Development: Experience working on large, modular projects (10k+ lines of code) and collaborating with others through code reviews, specifications, and documentation.
  • Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL and database programming.
  • Modern Development Practices: Familiarity with tools and practices like Git, Jenkins, Agile, and Continuous Integration (CI).
  • Linux Proficiency: Deep understanding of Linux, including UNIX system calls.
  • Backend Development: Experience in backend server development for distributed systems, particularly those providing highly available APIs.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Global Collaboration:Experience working in a large, multi-national enterprise and collaborating with teams across different regions.
  • Virtualization Expertise: Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale production IaaS platforms, especially with VMware.
  • Troubleshooting Abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, networks, and storage.
  • Additional Programming Languages: Knowledge of other programming languages like Erlang or Prolog is a plus.
