Your Role & How You Will Contribute:

Reporting to the Acting Head of Marketing & Communications, the Social Media & Marketing Specialist will coordinate and support B2B social media strategy and marketing initiatives for Kingsdale and its clients. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in graphic design, social media management, and content creation (graphic design and video editing). They will work collaboratively with the team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, engaging creative work that adheres to Kingsdale’s brand standards.

Responsibilities & Key Duties Include:

Content Creation

  • Develop marketing materials and social media content, including graphics, videos, and written copy
  • Build and maintain templates for client-facing materials aligned to the brand guide
  • Support the creation of engaging shareholder and investor communication materials, such as presentations and fact sheets
  • Conduct media monitoring and assist with crisis communications as required

Social Media & Digital Marketing

  • Manage content calendars and publish engaging posts across platforms
  • Oversee social media channels, including performance analytics and audience engagement
  • Contribute to client projects by developing tailored social media strategies and visuals

Ad-Hoc & Support

  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed to ensure the department meets deadlines and quality expectations
  • Provide support for event logistics for virtual and in-person events
  • Perform website updates and coordinate with IT or external vendors as needed

Experience & Qualifications

  • Education:
    Post-secondary education in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Experience:
    1-3 years of agency experience in B2B communications, with a portfolio showcasing design, social media, and video work (can include B2B or B2C).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere), Canva, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Salesforce is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Passion for design and social media with the ability to independently create engaging visuals and videos
  • Strong writing abilities for crafting effective copy across formats
