We are currently seeking an innovative, on-the-pulse and proactive **Social Media Marketing Specialist** responsible for owning our social media campaigns with a passion for building meaningful connections with our audiences. As a core member of the Marketing team, you will craft compelling content that increases brand awareness, loyalty and social follower growth. **Position Title**: Social Media Marketing Specialist

**Reporting to**: Digital Marketing Manager

**Number of Positions**: One

**Type of Employment**: 3-month contract, January -April 2025

**Hours of Work**: 35 hours per week

**Work Location**: Toronto. A hybrid work model can be accommodated during times that an on-site presence is not required

**Responsibilities**:

- Ideate, create and publish engaging digital content (copywriting, photography, videography) that builds meaningful audience connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the Harbourfront Centre brand.
- Strategize and collaborate with artists, volunteers, community partners and the Programming team to develop high-impact social media campaigns.
- Research the latest social media best practices and trends, creating optimized, on-trend content that resonates with audiences (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Utilize critical thinking and monitor social media metrics across all digital channels on an ongoing basis, contributing to monthly digital reports to generate data-driven insights.
- Quick to react and respond to relevant online news and social dialogue in the arts and culture community.
- Champion our online communities by engaging with our social media following, nurturing relationships with our community members and sharing user-generated content.

**Requirements**:

- Exceptional copywriting skills across all digital channels, able to write targeted messages for various audiences and segments.
- A passion and curiosity for creative storytelling and implementing bold content ideas that adapt over time.
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics and design.
- Self-starter who values collaboration and excels working independently and managing multiple projects at a time.
- Excellent skills in photography, video production and editing.
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and other content creation software skills are considered an asset.
- This role requires a flexible schedule that includes at times coming on campus during evenings and weekends to capture performances and events for social content. When not on campus capturing content, this role follows a hybrid model of on-site and remote work.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Non-Canadian applicants must have a valid employment Visa and proper documentation authorizing their ability to work in Canada for the duration of the contract and of active employment.
