Director of Inventory

Our client is searching for a Director of Inventory to join their team. This role will be responsible for working with the Operations, Sales and Finance teams to plan the right products at the right time. A successful candidate will lead order planning activity, inventory allocation, inventory data maintenance, and all inventory auditing activities. This role reports to the Senior Directory of Inventory Management.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

  • Provide leadership and management to drive continuous improvement in product planning, order management, stocking levels and the distribution process
  • Oversee all maintenance, administration, and analysis as it relates to the Estimate to Cash forecasting process
  • Manage all new order placement and inventory creation processes
  • Lead the tracking and analysis of asset configurations, sales history and trends
  • Be accountable for stocking logic management of all of the company locations
  • Work with vendors to understand lead times, future constraints, or product changes
  • Strategic implementation and inventory management of all future locations
  • Implement supply chain solutions to provide the most efficient service to locations, while helping control costs
  • Provide guidance and broad communication to sales leadership and operations team
  • Provide training and guidance to the team and ensure they have the necessary product and systems knowledge to effectively manage the inventory within there are of responsibility
  • Ensure new processes and tools are implemented across all locations
  • Other duties as assigned

Your strengths include:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field is considered an asset
  • 3+ years within the equipment industry
  • 5+ years experience with inventory management or supply chain management is preferred
  • Proven experience with company and inventory audits
